As China’s leading lifestyle service e-commerce platform, the company owns apps such as Meituan, Dianping, and Meituan Waimai that are well known to consumers. Its services cover more than 200 categories, including catering, food delivery , taxis, shared bikes, hotels and travel, movies, leisure and entertainment, and its business covers 2,800 counties, districts and cities across the country. （5）
– ByteDance: Beijing Douyin Information Service Co., Ltd. was established on March 9, 2012, with revenue of RMB 863.5 billion in 2023. China’s innovation capabilities are growing. Over the past year or so, ITIF has conducted in-depth analysis of the innovation capabilities of 44 Chinese companies in 10 major fields, including robotics, chemical materials, nuclear power, semiconductors, display technology, electric vehicles and batteries, artificial intelligence, quantum computers, biopharmaceuticals, and machine tools.

The speed of TikTok’s rise is astonishing.
Recently, the “2019 Douyin Data Report” released by Douyin showed that Douyin’s daily active users exceeded 400 million as of January 2020.
